Local charities across Bristol are being
invited to attend a free workshop to help
them get to grips with accounting issues.
The workshop, which is being run by city
centre based Barnes Hunter Chartered Accountants
on 26th April, is ideal for managers and trustees
looking to improve their accounting techniques.
Mark Hunter, specialist charities partner
at Barnes Hunter, comments: "Working
in a voluntary organisation can often result
in little time or man power being available
to take care of complex accounting issues
as fundraising and providing a service are
naturally the main areas of concerns. However
this workshops aims to provide managers and
trustees with practical tips on how to ensure
there are accounts run effectively and efficiently.
"At this workshop, we will discuss the
common accounting issues that affect charities,
with a review of the new draft Charities Bill
and its effect. Our aim is to provide delegates
with an easy to understand presentation, accurate
information and practical tips about accounting
issues that directly affect them."
