Be warned of a fraud email scam that looks
as if it has come from HMRC which it definitely
hasn’t.
It says
HM Revenue and Customs: After the last annual
calculations of your fiscal activity we have
determined that you are eligible to receive
a tax refund of £x.
Please submit the
tax refund request and allow us 6-9 days
in order to process it. A refund can be delayed
for a variety of reasons. For example submitting
invalid records or applying after the deadline.
The e mail then asks you to go into a form
which looks very similar to a revenue and customs
form and to leave credit card details.
Do not follow these instructions and delete
the email!
