It’s not only GCSE and A Level students
who have been holding their breaths recently
while awaiting important exam results, but
also two trainees at Bristol based accountancy
firm Barnes Hunter. However all the hard work
and anticipation has paid off for the two
accountants.
Charly Thompson has just passed two papers
at level three of the Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams in Audit
and Assurance Services (UK), and Advanced
Taxation. Following this success, Charly will
go on to take her finals next summer.
Laura Garwood passed her intermediate Association
of Accounting Technicians exams (AAT). She
will sit her final AAT exams next year before
going on to do her ACCA exams.
Chris Barnes, partner at the firm comments:
“With all the news of school and college
students taking their exams, it can be easy
to forget that many people in employment are
also hoping for good grades in professional
examinations.
“Charly and Laura have both worked
very hard over recent months and we are all
delighted with their success. I am sure they
will both go on to continue with their studies
in order to become fully qualified accountants.”
The Association of Accounting Technicians
