Bristol based chartered accountants Barnes
Hunter were delighted to represent the region
recently at a European conference.
As Bristol representatives of Integra International,
an interactive global network of independent
accounting firms dedicated to exchanging information
and advising businesses, Barnes Hunter attended
the Integra 2005 European Conference in Amsterdam.
The event saw business leaders and accounting
professionals from across the continent gather
to discuss the latest legislation and issues.
During the three day event partners from
Barnes Hunter attended sessions on Sarbanes
Oxley, an important piece of accounting legislation
brought about following the collapse of Enron,
and International accounting standards.
Mark Hunter, partner at Barnes Hunter, comments:
"We find it increasingly useful to be
able to advise our clients across all jurisdictions.
At the Integra conferences we are able to
meet and learn from accountants across the
world. Particularly useful at the current
time is being able to talk openly to our American
colleagues about the impact of the Sarbanes
Oxley legislation.’
Integra International is an interactive network
of CPAs, CAs and Business Advisors that share
knowledge openly and regularly. Members offer
expanded professional services to their clients,
including meeting their national and international
needs. Each member firm retains its name and
independence. The knowledge (both domestic
and international) of the 2000 individuals
involved in Integra International is available
to be drawn upon by any member needing assistance.
