Chris Barnes
Chris trained in London, qualifying as a Chartered
Accountant in 1974. He then moved to Bristol
and joined a predecessor firm of Ernst &
Young. Here he gained experience of working
with clients of all sizes and in many different
market sectors. He was particularly involved
in providing advice and carrying out due diligence
work on acquisitions and advising on computer
systems. He became a partner in 1985 and then
specialised in advising owner managed businesses
in all aspects of their financial affairs.
He left Ernst & Young in 1995 and set up
Barnes Hunter with Mark Hunter.
He continues to provide the full range of services
to his owner managed and other clients, and
specialises in strategic and business planning
including advising on profit improvement.
